Congratulations to Ken Yamamoto from Las Vegas, NV who finished ninth in our DeepStack Extravaganza (NYE) Event #14 $400 NLH MonsterStack $260K GTD winning $7,119.

Yamamoto went all-in with his J♣ K♥ and final 890K chips. Eric Worre called with pocket threes which held up.

It was Christopher Banks’ turn to go all in. When he raised preflop to 625K, Satish Surapaneni re-raised to 1.1 million. Banks quickly went all-in with his 2.65 million, and, after some thought, Surapaneni called. Banks’ pocket Kings reigned supreme against Surapaneni’s A♦ Q♠ on a 7♥ 2♠ 3♥ J♥ 4♣ board.

Not to be left out, Manig Loeser went all-in with his final 950K chips and A♥ 10♦. Dominic Guarnieri called all-in with significantly more chips. Loeser doubled up on a very friendly J♥ 10♠ K♥ A♦ 3♠ board.

Eric Worre just doubled up his 1.08 million against Ken Yamamoto. After Yamamoto went all-in, Worre called with his Q♠ A♣. Yamamoto showed pocket sixes. When Worre hit a Q♦ on the river, he was quite excited.

In the very next hand, Sevak Papelian risked his pocket Jacks and final 1.345 million. Manig Loeser called with J♠ 7♠. After two spades hit on the flop, the hand went to the river and Papelian’s Jacks held up.

Here’s a fun hand. Eric Worre went all in with his 1.23 million chips and was called, also all-in, by Sevak Papelian with his 1.295 million. Worre flipped over A♥ 2♥ and Papelian showed A♦ K♣. When the board fell 10♥ K♦ 5♣ Q♥ J♦ there was a small chuckle as the gentlemen split the pot.

It was Eric Baldwin’s turn to get in on the action against Eric Worre. After a 7♠ A♦ Q♦ flop, Worre bet 525K which Baldwin promptly called. Both gentlemen checked on the 2♦ turn. When a Q♠ hit on the river, Baldwin (after some thought) bet 1.825 million. Worre (also after some thought) called, and Baldwin’s flush with a 9♦ 5♦ from the big blind won him a nice pot.

Satish Surapaneni just doubled up his 3.445 million against Eric Worre when he went all-in after flopping a straight versus Worre’s pocket Kings. Surapaneni is now our chip leader.

Congratulations to Henry McArdle from Phoenix, AZ who finished tenth in our DeepStack Extravaganza (NYE) Event #14 $400 NLH MonsterStack $260K GTD winning $5,863.

The short-stacked McArdle risked his final 565K chips with his 5♦ 6♦ against Dominic Guarnieri’s A♠ 2♥. When the board hit 9♦ 3♥ 10♣ A♣ A♥, McArdle knew his tournament life had come to an end.

Eric Worre just had a nice double up when Henry McArdle went all-in with his K♠ A♦ against Worre’s pocket Aces; however, the Aces held up. Worre doubled his 2.825 million chip stack. McArdle is in, but he is in a bit of peril.
