Well, another successful DeepStack Showdown May Event is in the books. This time it was our Event #3 $400 NLH MonsterStack $200K GTD. This event drew a somewhat troubling 666 entrants, 88 of whom made it to Day 2. The prize pool exceeded our guarantee at $223,110.
Our final table was a nice mix of some regulars and new faces—and two ladies. The action started immediately with several big hands and eliminations, and before we knew it, we were down to five players who wasted little time deciding to “look at the numbers” and then settled quickly on a deal.
When all was said and done, Eric Baldwin emerged victorious winning a hefty $31,279 and our stunning and highly coveted trophy.
