Another successful DeepStack Championship event is in the books. This time, our Event #54 $1,100 NLH (8Max) $250K GTD attracted an even 300 players who created a prize pool of $291,000; surpassing the guarantee of $250,000. Of those, 56 made it to Day 2, and we paid out 32 places.

It took the field seven hours to reach the final table, then an additional six hours, before a champion was crowned.

The table started with Milos Skrbic and Mike Abratique commanding proceedings, eliminating the first four players in relatively quick time.

Play slowed up five handed before Brock Wilson found himself out in fifth place at the hands of Eric Holtz.

Skrbic then stormed through the final four players taking out Abratique (4th), Eric Holtz (3rd) and Volodymyr Tamakovych (2nd) to claim his first Venetian title, collecting $67,334 for his troubles as well as the trophy.
