Another successful DeepStack Championship event is in the books. This time, our Event #111 $400 NLH MonsterStack $60K GTD attracted 343 players who created a prize pool of $114,905; crushing the guarantee of $60,000. Of those, 36 made the money, each earning themselves $804.
Just over twelve hours was needed for this single day event to reach a final table of ten. Then, in just over an hour of play, a champion was crowned.
Joseph Gordon was eliminated by Randall Yaroch in the opening hand of the final table.
Jakub Toth and Jason Morman then both fell in consecutive hands to Len Lagoe Jr after both started with the more dominating hand.
Ricardo Gramowski fell in 7th place to Jared Ambler, after getting it all in on a jack-high flop, with pocket kings against queen-jack. A jack spiked on the turn to see Gramowski’s night cut suddenly short.
Lagoe Jr then went on a knockout spree, eliminating Sharman Olshan (6th), Alex Dederer (5th) and Carla Sabini (4th) in the space of 15 minutes, before three players were left.
Yaroch, Ambler and Lagoe Jr then agreed to a chop three-handed, which saw Yaroch finish in 3rd, Ambler place second and Lagoe Jr crowned the eventual champion.
