Nissar Quraishi Finishes in 2nd Place ($29,100)

Congratulations to Nissar Quraishi from Woodland Hills, CA who finished 2nd in our DeepStack Championship Event #95 $400 NLH MonsterStack $100K GTD winning $29,100.

Quraishi came into the final table as the second largest stack, and eventually took the chip lead, after eliminating the anonymous player and Jim Giannoukos in the same hand. He extended that lead after taking out Beike Chen in sixth place.

Once four-handed play was reached, Quraishi agreed to an even chop, which saw him collect $29,100 for his efforts.

The remaining four players then agreed to do a flip to see who would be crowned the champion.

Steven McCartney: 4♦ 3♠
Nissar Quraishi: A♦ Q♠
Ryan Brown: 9♣ 5♣
Michael Spang: K♥ 9♦

Board: A♣ 8♠ 2♥ 5♦ 4♣.

Quraishi was abe to flop an ace, which was enough to lock up second place, after besting Browns pair and Spang’s high card.
