Well, another highly successful DeepStack Extravaganza tournament is in the books. This time it was our popular Event #36 $1,600 NLH Main Event with a hefty $400K guarantee. This event attracted 312 players who combined for a total prize pool of $446,160. Of those players, 36 found themselves in the money, and 27 of them returned for Day 2.
We had an interesting final table with some huge personalities. It was slow going at first; however, once the eliminations started, then the action was much faster and more furious.
The three players with the largest chip stacks entering the final table were the last three standing. Such is not usually the case. Samuel Uhlmann had the chip lead entering the final table and didn’t relinquish it once even though Rory Brown made a valiant effort toward the end.
When we were heads up with Brown and Uhlmann, after some lengthy play, the two gentlemen agreed on a deal but withheld $15,000 of the prize pool and the trophy and continued play.
When all was said and done, Samuel Uhlmann reigned supreme winning a hefty $92,965 and our stunning trophy. This is Uhlmann’s largest live cash ever. He even joked that it was more than his previous live tournament winnings combined. Congratulations again Samuel.

Congratulations to the rest of our final table.
