Congratulations to Shawn Daniels from Las Vegas, NV who took down our DeepStack Extravaganza I Event #25 $400 NLH DoubleStack $100K GTD winning $41,017 and our beautiful and highly coveted trophy.

Congratulations to Raymond Slabbekoorn from the Netherlands who finished second in our DeepStack Extravaganza I Event #25 $400 NLH DoubleStack $100K GTD winning $25,194.
After a seemingly innocuous preflop call/check, the flop fell 8♥ 10♠ 9♠. Slabbekoorn led out with 375K, and Shawn Daniels raised to one million. Slabbekoorn went all-in quite quickly, and Daniels snap-called. Daniels had already made his straight with his J♥ 7♠ versus Slabbekoorn’s J♣ 2♦. The best Slabbekoorn could hope for was a chop; however, a 10♣ on the turn and 8♠ on the river spelled Slabbekoorn’s demise.

Shawn Daniels just took the massive chip lead away from Raymond Slabbekoorn. After some back-and-forth preflop raising, Daniels ultimately shoved. Slabbekoorn snap-called and turned over A♠ K♠. Daniels had pocket Jacks, and was thrilled when he made a set on the flop. As a result, Daniels nabbed 5.3 million of Slabbekoorn’s chips.
Congratulations to Richard Ripoll from Las Vegas, NV wh finished third in our DeepStack Extravaganza I Event #25 $400 NLH DoubleStack $100K GTD winning $18,359.
Raymond Slabbekoorn dealt Ripoll the fatal blow when he snap-called Ripoll’s all-in bet. Ripoll risked his final 1.9 million chips on pocket fives, while Slabbekoorn showed J♠ A♦. A Jack on the flop, and then an Ace on the river, spelled Ripoll’s demise.

Going into the Level 30 break, here is where our final three stand:
Richard Ripoll: 2.5 million
Shawn Daniels: 3.6 million
Raymond Slabbekoorn: 8.38 million
Many will say revenge is sweet, and Raymond Slabbekoorn will definitely agree as he exacted his on Richard Ripoll. This hand began with Ripoll raising to 375K from the button, and Slabbekoorn called. The flop fell 10♠ 8♣ Q♥, and Slabbekoorn checked. Ripoll shoved, and Slabbekoorn called. Ripoll was a bit dismayed that Slabbekoorn had pocket Aces to his K♦ 9♠. Alas for Ripoll, he didn’t hit a Jack and had to fork over 3.64 million chips. Slabbekoorn is, once again, the chip leader.
Richard Ripoll is our new chip leader after taking a chunk of Raymond Slabbekoorn’s chips. Ripoll shoved from the big blind with his 2.88 million chipstack, and Slabbekoorn called effective from the small blind. Ripoll showed pocket Kings, while Slabbekoorn flipped over J♠ A♦. Ripoll was ecstatic when the flop came J♦ 7♣ K♥. The Q♣ turn and J♥ river gave Ripoll a full house and the chip lead.
Congratulations to Mordy Friedman from Pomona, NY who finished fourth in our DeepStack Extravaganza I Event #25 $400 NLH DoubleStack $100K GTD winning $13,671.
After Richard Ripoll raised to 225K from UTG, Friedman shoved with his final 2-ish million chipstack from the small blind. Raymond Slabbekoorn called effective from the big blind, and Ripoll got out of the way. Friedman turned over Q♠ A♦ and Slabbekoorn showed A♣ K♠. Slabbekoorn’s King kicker held firm and Friedman was out.

Congratulations to DanaMarie Bader Muse from Henderson, NV who finished fifth in our DeepStack Extravaganza I Event #25 $400 NLH DoubleStack $100K GTD winning $10,351.
Bader Muse’s suited A, J proved no match for Mordy Friedman’s pocket tens.

Mordy Friedman just doubled his 1.04 million chipstack against Richard Ripoll. Friedman shoved from UTG and Ripoll called effective from the small blind. It was Friedman’s A♣ K♦ versus Ripoll’s A♦ 9♦. Both men paired their Aces when the flop came 8♥ A♠ 10♣, and Friedman caught a K♥ on the turn (which he didn’t really need). The 2♦ brick on the river enabled Friedman to take the pot.
