Barry Hutter doubled up again versus James Carroll when he shoved preflop from the big blind with his final 1.33 million chips and 8♥ 10♥ against James Carroll’s pocket Aces. Hutter won the hand with a 9♠ 10♠ 3♥ 5♠ 8♦ board.
Barry Hutter risked his final 950K chip stack versus Jesse Sylvia after Hutter shoved preflop from the big blind with his 10♦ A♣, thus dominating Sylvia’s A♦ 6♣. When the board fell 7♣ 4♠ 2♦ 9♠ 9♥, Hutter exhaled a sigh of relief and extends his tournament life.
Mitch Garshofsky had a nice double up against James Carroll. Carroll raised to 225K from the cutoff, and Garshofsky re-raised to 900K from the button. Carroll re-raised to around six million, essentially putting Garshofsky all-in for his final 3.815 million. Garshofsky called all-in and showed pocket Jacks. Carroll flipped A♦ K♣, and Garshofsky’s Jacks held firm.
The very quiet J. F. Villacanas just doubled up his 1.37 million chip stack against Barry Hutter. In this hand, Villacanas shoved from the small blind with his 5♣ 4♣. After some deliberation, Hutter called from the big blind with pocket deuces. The 5♦ 8♠ 4♥ 5♠ 9♦ board couldn’t have fallen any better for Villacanas, and he keeps his tournament hopes alive.
Congratulations to Joey Weissman from Las Vegas, NV who finished sixth in our DeepStack Extravaganza I Event #42 $1,600 NLH Main Event $1M GTD winning $44,604.
Jesse Sylvia got the better of Weissman when Sylvia’s pocket Jacks bested Weissman’s A♣ K♥, and Weissman was out.

James Carroll got the better of Joey Weissman in this hand that began with Mitch Garshofsky raising from UTG to 200K. Both Joey Weissman, from the button, and James Carroll, from the big blind called. When the flop came K♣ 7♥ 8♦, Carroll and Garshofsky checked, and Weissman bet 250K. Carroll called, and Garshofsky got out of the way. With a J♠ on the turn, Carroll again checked, and Weissman bet 800K which Carroll called. A brick 2♥ fell on the river, both men checked, and Carroll’s J♥ 8♠ took the pot. Weissman folded, so only he knows what he had.
Congratulations to Ben Ector from Las Vegas, NV who finished seventh in our DeepStack Extravaganza I Event #42 $1,600 NLH Main Event $1M GTD winning $34,311.
Ector shoved from the big blind after Mitch Garshofsky raised to 300K from the hijack following a flop of K♦ 5♠ 3♠ and a K♠ on the turn. While Ector’s Q♠ 6♠ gave him a flush, Garshofsky’s pocket fives gave him the full house and Ector’s final 1.4-ish million chips.

Congratulations to Peter Vitantonio from Wickliffe, OH who finished eighth in our DeepStack Extravaganza I Event #42 $1,600 NLH Main Event $1M GTD winning $26,305.
Vitantonio risked his final 1.4-ish million chips with a Q♥ 9♥ when he shoved preflop from the cutoff. Mitch Garshofsky called effective from the button with pocket Jacks. The board ran 6♣ Q♠ 7♥ 5♣ and Vitantonio had some hope; however, a J♥ on the river eliminated him.

Jesse Sylvia just won a nice 1.8-ish million pot versus Barry Hutter. Sylvia raised to 180K from UTG+1, and Hutter called from the button. The flop fell 3♥ 8♦ 2♦, and Sylvia made a c-bet of 280K which Hutter called. Following the 2♣ turn, both men checked. When a 4♠ fell on the river, Sylvia checked, Hutter bet 440K, and Sylvia called. Sylvia’s pocket tens bested Hutter’s 8♣ 9♣.
