Two hundred and ninety hopefuls returned for Day 2 of Event 99: $1,100 No-Limit Hold’em SuperStack $1,500,000 Guarantee with Talesh Patel leading the pack (533,500).

Other big stacks to begin the day include Victor Chong (439,500), Craig Varnell (428,000) and Jesse Sylvia (362,000).

The final 225 players will make the money, with payouts beginning at $2,452. The top four finishers will take home six-figures with $311,664 reserved for 1st.

Event 99 drew a field of 2,096 entries- 1,458 of them coming on for Day 1B, making it the largest Day 1 ever in the Venetian Poker Room.

The entrants have been coming in waves on Day 1B and as a result, the $1,500,000 guarantee has been hit in Event 99. The prize pool is approaching the $1,600,000 mark and at this current rate, the field is could potentially become the third this summer to hit 2,000 entries.

Registration remains open until approximately 9:00 pm, giving players who are either re-entering or hopping in late, a chance to build their stack of 20,000 toward tomorrow’s Day 2.
