The second PLO final table of the week at the DeepStack Championship Series resulted in 210 entrants for the $800 8-Max Bounty. Andrew Donabedian already played some Pot Limit Omaha at The Venetian this week, as he bubbled the $1,600 Monster Stack event. Undeterred, Donabedian took the chip lead into today’s Day 2 and finished the job with his first career Venetian win.

Donabedian eliminated Nick Halvorson and Jacob Elmore-Dahl to take control of half of the chips in play. A deal was made soon after and Donabedian ended up with the most money and the DSCS trophy.

The win is the largest score of Donabedian’s career and follows up on his win in the February 2017 DSE I $400 PLO Bounty event. We’ll likely see Donabedian back at another PLO final table at The Venetian in the near future.

Abraham Reinhardt

The elimination of Nick Halvorson led the three remaining players in Event 47 to discuss numbers and a deal. The players decided against a chip-chop and instead used ICM.

Young Ji was at a disadvantage against his two opponents and gave up some ICM money to earn $15,000. Third place was originally set at $12,408. Abraham Reinhardt takes home a few thousand more than second place leaving Andrew Donabedian to get the remainder and the trophy.

Nick Halvorson

Andrew Donabedian now controls over half of the chips in play after flopping a set and getting all of Nick Halvorson’s chips.

Donabedian opened to 57,000 in the cutoff and Halvorson called on the button. Abraham Reinhardt called in the big blind and then checked the K♠4♠3♦ flop.

A bet of Donabedian to 125,000 was raised to 450,000 by Halvorson. Reinhardt departed the hand and Donabedian moved all-in. Halvorson shrugged and called for 425,000 more.

Halvorson’s flush draw was taken away on the 4♦ turn but he had an out to quads to stay alive. The 8♦ river did him no good and Donabedian took in the massive pot.

Jacob Elmore-Dahl

The Event 47 final table moves to four-handed play after the elimination of Jacob Elmore-Dahl in fifth place. Andrew Donabedian busted Elmore-Dahl and is the chip leader as a result.

Elmore-Dahl raised to 60,000 in the cutoff and Donabedian three-bet the cutoff to 196,000 (pot). The blinds folded and Elmore-Dahl paused before four-bet shoving for 564,000 total. Donabedian called having Elmore-Dahl barely covered to put over 25 percent of the chips in play up for grabs.

Lueth Peyman

The second elimination of the level resulted in an effective double-up for Young Ji, who knocked out Lueth Peyman to claim a $200 bounty.

Ji raised the cutoff to 50,000 and Peyman called from the big blind. The J♣9♦6♠ flop checked to Ji and he bet 60,000 with Peyman calling behind.

Peyman led for 180,000 on the 3♠ turn and Ji tanked for two minutes before raising all-in for 120,000 more. Ji called and turned over 9♠8♠6♦5♣ for two pair and a pair of draws against the A♠J♥10♦8♣ of Peyman.

The K♥ river missed Peyman and Ji celebrated as he took the pot.

Jerome Sgorrano trended downward during Level 22 and his Event 47 run is at an end.

Sgorrano raised to 60,000 in the cutoff and Abraham Reinhardt potted from the small blind. The raise was to 190,000 and Sgorrano raised for a few thousand more to be formally all-in.

Jerome Sgorrano was up to second-place in the Event 47 final table but fell a few notches after bluffing a few chips off along with a double for Young Ji. Sgorrano managed to get those chips back versus Lueth Peyman.

Peyman opened to 33,000 and Sgorrano defended his big blind. Sgorrano checked the J♣5♦2♠ flop and Peyman put in 40,000. With 215,000 behind, Sgorrano raised to 194,000 and Peyman just called. Sgorrano put the 21,000 remaining chips he had in the middle on the 4♦ turn and Peyman called.

Peyman was drawing dead heading to the river and Sgorrano doubled up with his set.

A few hands later, Peyman three-bet to 136,000 out of the small blind after a raise to 40,000 in the cutoff from Abraham Reinhardt. Peyman was then faced with an all-in and folded to leave himself with under 10 big blinds as the level moves up.

Gonzalo Mercade

A classic PLO confrontation put Gonzalo Mercade in a spot to double up but his aces were cracked by the wrap of Nick Halvorson.

Mercade was all-in for 145,000 out of the small blind with A♣A♥7♥6♥ against the Q♠J♣10♣9♣ of Halvorson, who was in the cutoff.

The 8♣7♦2♥ flop gave Halvorson his draw and put Mercade on edge. The 3♠ turn bricked but the 9♠ river brought the straight home to eliminated Mercade.

The PLO action picked up right at the start of Level 20 with a big double-up for Jacob Elmore-Dahl.

Elmore-Dahl raised in early position to 28,000 and Lueth Peyman called in the lojack. Andrew Donabedian  jumped in from the hijack and the three players saw a K♦J♠2♠ flop.

Elmore-Dahl continued for 65,000 and Peyman announced “raise,” and cut out 130,000. Donabedian dumped his hand andElmore-Dahl jammed for 235,000 total. Peyman was right behind him with a call and turned over 8♣8♥2♦2♥ for bottom set. Dahl’s top set K♥K♠10♣6♣ had Peyman with one immediate out.

The 10♦ turn and 9♥ river were no good for Peyman and Dahl shipped the double.

Randall Holland

The first blood drawn at the Event 47 final table belongs to Randall Holland. Jerome Sgorrano flopped perfect and Holland to move up to second place on the leaderboard.

Young Li limped under the gun as did Holland in the hijack. Lueth Peyman came in for the minimum in the cutoff and Sgorrano raised to 50,000 from the small blind. All of his opponents called and the flop came out A♥9♦5♥.

Sgorrano bet 110,000 and Ji folded. Holland shoved for slightly more and Peyman dumped his hand. A♦A♠9♣6♦ was turned up by Sgorrano and he had the edge over Holland’s Q♥Q♠7♠4♥.

The 2♦ turn followed by the 3♣ river secured the pot for Sgorrano and Holland hits the rail.
